Peace and war

The first hall of the museum exposition with the symbolic name "Peace and War" carries a huge philosophical load, forcing the visitor to think about two completely opposite things - peace and war. Why did mankind, which made a huge breakthrough in science and technology in the twentieth century, stepped far ahead in the development of industry, still did not realize that the most valuable thing in the world is human life?
